Transferring websites to a different host

I have an old website that was linked to several other sites and used to get lots of hits. The hits have dropped off, but the links are still of some value.

In transferring to a new host, will the old links be broken? Will the people looking for my site be able to click on the existing links?

Once the nameservers have caught up with the host change, all the links will work again.
