Toxic Glow

I had been meaning to make this sooner, as in before this close to Halloween, but life is busy. Someone wanted me to show them how to make a pen today, so here it is. The kit is the diamond knurl ballpoint in black chrome. The blank is "Toxic Orange" Kirinite that I also bought from EB. The inside of the blank is painted yellow. The other Kirinite blanks of this style that I've used don't glow, but this one lights right up under the blacklight! (@ed4copies, did you know they do this?) I'm on the fence as to whether this would have looked better in gunmetal. This is a lot of contrast, but I'm still happy with it.

I think you chose the right kit plating. The black veins of the blank fit perfectly with the black of the hardware. I don't think gunmetal would have meshed quite as well.

Very cool that the blank glows!! Love glowing blanks. I have a bunch, and yet, haven't actually turned any yet (although I do bake them in the late afternoon sun periodically just to enjoy their glow at night! )
