I love the Argentum silver and the Gold Ti Berea uses in the Cambridge. The Silver is diamond bright, and the Gold Ti actually looks like gold (because it has some gold in it, if I've heard correctly.)
As the result of some interest in one of my Zebra composite pens, I have made a discovery. We all knew, of course, you could easily swap out the gold ti and silver bands in a Cambridge, but I just discovered how easy it is to break the inlay out of the clip. It's just epoxied in and easily comes free if pressure is gently and correctly applied. Thus it can be easily glued into a clip of the same color.
(Perhaps some of you already knew this, in which case, why didn't you tell me? Huh? Huh? Huh?
 )
The one difficulty here would be separating the cap inset from the cap. It's looks like that's anchored in there by a post of some sort. Has anyone tried to swap those out, and thus confirm the difficulty?
I suppose it can be drilled out and then glued into another cap recess, but that strikes me as a bit flimsy.
Any suggestions?
