Some time ago,I was pissed of by the need to file,sand and wax the toolrest often to have smooth tool movement. I have a secret
stock of original Poldi Radeco HSS 10 bars ( While Radeco still exist as a trademark of HSS steel,the Poldi Kladno steel mill is a history ). The biggest problem was how to attach it to the toolrest with its hardness over 60HRC,any drilling was not possible for me. Fortunately a friend purchased an old,but workin eroding machine (direct translation from CZ, probably not correct) and made the holes for me. It works gold,more than a year now.
