Tool sharpening Sarasota Venice FL

As a seasonal resident in the Sarasota/Venice area, I have a very limited shop. I have several chisels that need a tuneup, but not the equipment to do it. Does anyone in this area either do this or know someone who does?

I think there is a Woodcraft store in Clearwater. You might get them sharpened there. Not sure about that. I am no help at all. I always sharpened my skew on a diamond stone and, do most of my wood turning with the Woodchuck Pen Pro, which has a carbide insert. Maybe one of the other local guys will chime in here and, help. I use carbide tools, too. But I keep a parting tool, gouge and skew on hand, and use them every now and then.

I too use mostly carbide tools but also use a diamond stone to keep my skew & gouges sharp.

Hi PMisiaszek - I bet you can get some help from the local AAW Woodturning club, The Sarasota Woodturners.
