Anybody know who makes those nice round tool rests? I have one that has a removeable post and my new lathe uses a different size post and I can't remember who I got it from to get a new post made?

Rick Herrell.

I bought a rest from him a couple of years ago. It looked so nice that I almost didn't want to use it. And he's a nice guy to do business with.

Purchased a post and 2 rests from Rick last week and had a chance to try it out this weekend. Big difference from my stock tool rest, so smooth. As mentioned, very nice person, quick turn-around and shipping. Very glad I got one.

Over the holidays I ordered two more rests from Rick -- super-sized for my mid sized lathe. I needed 10 and 12 inch length for peppermill turning.

I now have regular and heavy-duty posts, and four rests. I am thinking that may be enough, although he also has flat rests for square-shanked toolsd like the Pen Pro. So maybe I do not have enough ...

Another new item I got is the stop collar with nylon set screws. Very nice.

Rick makes the best, and the prices are reasonable.

Rherrell!!! Had them for a few weeks - They are great.

He will want EXACT measurements of your post holes - mine fit perfectly for a Jet Mini and a Nova 1624-44. I got 2 posts, and a round and flat top bar for each - small enough so that I can TBC easily!
