Hi All
I just got my New Scheppach Tiger 2000 wet grinder yesterday . Spent last night sharpening my Skew and my flatwork chisel sets and a few handplane blades . The Tiger 2000 works great , I now have a whole set of chisels that are sharp enough to shave with , and my Handplanes are all the sharpest they have ever been .
I normally sharpen with a piece of plate glass and various grits of selfstick wet or dry sandpaper . I thought the tools were sharp , and they were , but the Tiger did as good a job if not better in 1/10th the time , normally I'm a little lazy and only sharpen them just sharp enough to work with but since it works so fast I can now make Everything Scary sharp .
The Tiger seems to be very well made and runs very quietly and even though it might not be as good as the Tormak or Jet systems at 1/4 the price I think it's worth every penny , and it will work with all the Tormak and Jet jigs so with what I saved on the Tiger I can now afford to buy most of the jigs as well .:biggrin::biggrin:
