I found this bandsaw on craigs list when I canted the seller he wanted $500 I did some figuring and came up with the money (kids kicked in for an early Christmas present. Great kids) I e-mailed the seller again and did not hear back from him until yesterday and he had dropped the price to $400 and threw in about 15 blades both wood and metal different with widths from 1/4" to 1". The saw is a powermatic model 043. Sorry about the quality of the pic but taken with cell phone. Thanks for looking.

Not sure what a riser is but is 14" from the sikde of the blade to the housing on the left. I can cut a piece 6" high.

a riser is a six inch spacer that goes in the column so you can cut 12" thick stock. The 043 can't take a riser, but if I remember correctly, it has a 7.5 inch capacity.

I was told that the blades are worth the $400 I spent and it also has a mobile base like one listed by rockler for $160 so I can move it around the shop. I should go to confession for stealing it.

Wow what a great buy !! I always look online for deals in my area for that kind of stuff. Can't wait to see the projects that come out of the shop now :biggrin:.
