Hey, you found my lost lathe! Please return it as soon as is possible! I am not sure how it made the trip to SC from Denver, but, heck, it must have somehow!

(Nice haul, BTW!)

I love it and I love the clean shop, a man after my own heart!!!

Hahah, it's only clean because I had to make room for the new toy. That entire corner had to be reworked as previously I couldn't squeeze anything else in the shop anywhere, Somehow in making room for the bigger lathe I ended up with a much more functional corner and room to spare

Also moving the mini to that wood cart raised it up to a higher and much more comfortable position. I had it on a dedicated wood stand before and it was a good 6" lower than it is now. Amazing how not having to bend over constantly feels so much better on the back.

I need to get some lighting over the big lathe now though. Still not sure which route I want to go with that yet.

I discovered a $20 clip-on LED light sold by Lowe's. Liked it so much that I bought two more. So now I have one for the lathe, one for the drill press, and one for the disc sander. The spring clamp has rubber pads, but they don't hold quite as well as I wanted, so I cut a couple pieces of "waffle" pad that is used to keep rugs from slipping, and adhered them to each of the jaws with double-sided tape. The lights are sturdy, no bulb to break, and the light can be directed by moving the goose neck around. I showed them to the guys in my woodturning club, and they went out and bought them too. Unfortunately, just now, I couldn't seem to find them in a search on the Lowe's site. Since I can't manage to "insert image" just from my computer, if you want to see a pic, email me. russktrashnan@optonline.net. Just take out the trash before sending the email. BTW, good score!
