For years the wife has been having problems with her back and knee.

Tomorrow she's going in for a knee replacement.

After a problem she had with emergency surgery she had just before Christmas she'd really nervous. Last year she had surgery for appendicitis and ended up being on a respirator in ICU for a day.

Don't want to do that again. :frown:

Please keep her in your prayers that all goes well.

Thank you.

Prayers for a speedy recovery. If I may recommend, request one of those machines the leg is strapped into that will move her knee for her. It really helped with LOMLs knees.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery with no issues.

I had both of my hips replaced at the end of 2011, I'd do it again.

My thoughts are with you and your wife.

Best wishes for her surgery and recovery. I had mine replaced three months ago. It is doing fine, but still a little sore and stiff. PT is the key......do it.

Follow up

I'd like to thank everyone for the prayers.

She had her surgery around 7 this morning. Surgery took 3 hours with 2-1/2 hours in recovery.

Everything went well. Her pain level is much better than we expected. The therapist cam in this afternoon and had her stand on it already. Tomorrow she starts walking. She'll be in the hospital until Saturday then a week or two rehab.

Thanks again

See these surgeries every day (pathology assistant), make sure anesthesiologist is aware of her previous issue(s). I am sure she will do fine. Best wishes for speedy recovery.

Glad to hear the surgery went well. Make sure that your wife does all of her PT, even if it hurts. Make sure that she takes pain meds before she does her PT so that she can tolerate it and do it properly. Doing the PT will help her recover better and faster with ongoing good results.
