Todays pens

Pulled a few blanks today just to have some fun. Top to bottom;
walnut burl, curly spalted white oak, black ash burl, brazilian cherry. The walnut was a nice find. I started making a new bed for the guest room and pulled some natural edge walnut I had cut when I had my saw mill. I had cut the log through and through and set it back to dry. When I started cutting to length, there was this small burl. Just a beautiful subtle look!!

I bought a pretty big board of the brazilian cherry, anyone interested in blanks? $1.50 each plus shipping.

Rich, that white oak is really pretty! Not that the others aren't, but I especially like the spalting in it. Great pens all around!
