Mine flies 24/7 on a pole in my front yard, lighted at night, of course. Only comes down when the wind threatens to blow it away!

Mine also Sharon. Do you light yours up at night? I am told that it is a rule, I am not sure about what the proper protocol is but my "Old Glory " is up there.

I've been aiming to get my flag put out for a while now but never think of it when I'm home. Once I get it up, it stays up all summer normally.

My pole is about 8 feet in front of the house (just across the sidewalk). I have a solar spotlight from HF mounted on the eaves and aimed at the flag. It lights it all night long.

B-Day

It's also my birthday today. I've always counted myself lucky to be born on Flag Day and have mine hanging out all year. Being the son of a Cuban immigrant that escaped communism with his family, I learned how to love and appreciate this country.

My wife's b-day, too! My flag stays in a box I made for it and is displayed in my house since it was flown over my brother's military base in Iraq while he was serving...it will never see the weather if I can help it!
