I guess I'm not familiar with the idea of shortening the upper barrel- how would you do that? Do you have to cut the tubes? Do you think it looks better that way? Thanks, I'm always wanting to learn more!

Thanks, all! Yes, Angela, you just shorten the tube by 1/4 to 5/16 inches. Personally, I think it looks better shortened and with the wider lower tube, either like I did here or Lou did on his Bog Oak Oly.
