Greetings
My son is learning how to play the Irish drum called a Bodrán. When I saw the drum stick called a beater or tipper I thought I could make that. Beaters come in many shapes and sizes. This one is 9 1/8 long and 1 inch diameter at the beater. Made of walnut with 2 coats of BLO, 2 coats of poly and Huts PPP wax.

I think it turned out nice, he hasn't tried it yet.

Thanks for looking.
C&C appreciated

Mike

Hi Tony
I Like the rhythms as well, his teacher asked him to pick a non-iris song to play. He picked Us and Them from Pink Floyd. It sounded great.
Hi Mal,
I messed up it wasn't BLO it was Woodturner's Finish, it dries in about ten minutes.
Hi Alan,
Yep, I keep messing up the spelling. My son's teacher taught us how the pronounce it. He's played for over twenty years including in Ireland. Lots of good stories.
