How long should I let a tube with about 8 layers of med ca offgas before casting in PR?

first question, why so many layers of CA if you are going to cast it? i think one or two layers will suffice.


answer to your question: at least 48 hrs

I don't know about the casting part but, when I do a CA finish I let it sit over night before sanding and let it sit 3-4 days before putting it in a tube.

In my experience, at least a day. Longer for really thick CA buildups. I've had some pens that the CA kept offgassing (and shrinking) for 2-3 days.
