I made a bolt action pen, a cartridge pen and a Premier cigar pen for an outdoor writer's conference. Last I saw they all sold for more than what I priced them. I marked them up 2%. I figured the time, kit, materials and multiplied that by 2. That's 2%! Sorry. no photos.

I like the idea that 2 is less than 100. Ever notice that prices in stores and catalogues are always a penny or nickel less than the whole number. People zero on the numbers to the left of the decimal point. For instance, $19.99 is only a penny less than $20.00 but the penny makes it seem a dollar cheaper. A friend worked in a dry good store while in college. Owner had socks bundled and sold for 3 pair for a dollar. Owner had Tom separate the socks, tie them into pairs and marked them fifty cents a pair. Sold like hotcakes!
