Threads on Kitless

So I am still working on my threading and would like a little more advise please. In your opinion are finer threads better to work with in the plastics rather than course??? When I was having trouble in another thread I started ; I was using a courser tap and die. When I finally got the better of it I was using a finer thread. Also while I was practicing I used this tutorial and I find I cant keep the threads intact with such a thin wall from the OD threads to the ID threads on the body of the pen.

Finer threads require less thread depth which solves some of the wall thickness problems.

Fine threads cut SO much easier - especially on PR materials. I was breaking every 4 or 5 sections at the threads using 10mm x 1 pitch threads - now I'm at 10mmx.75 and the difference is amazing. I just have to be careful not to turn the tenon too small or the threads won't take.

I read somewhere on here that cutting the outside thread and screwing on a "nut" to support the outer then cutting the inner thread, solved their problem of breakage.
