I saw that a guy makes threaded inserts for goose calls and I thought it could work on a duck call. It's just a test with plain walnut that actually looks way better than it should if you saw the piece before I turned it. I could use comments on what your thoughts are on the idea, the look, ect My only issue is the stopper is quite large because of the size of the insert. It sounds good though. The threaded insert is brass.

Very nice. At first I was thinking you were turning the threads. After looking at the pictures I'm guessing not. I assume there's a brass female ring in the reed section? I'm going to have to look into this. Thanks for sharing.

Yes its actually the large threaded insert from Prokraft. I will post pics of the insert in a bit I have turned threads into wood on some things, but nothing this small.
