I am starting to go through penmaking supplies to down size my inventory of kits and blanks.

I am wondering if it is better to list a pen kit lot with various platings ( in RB and FP ) of the same pen kit OR list all the variations at a price per kit?

I realize that the price point of the specific pen kit would make a difference . The kits that would be listed include Vail, Roman Harvest, sketch pencil and woodworkers pencil. Would include bushings and any pre-drilled blanks if they were sold as lots.

Just trying to make it easy and less of a hassle all around.

I have also -- may just list as price per kit with a better price option for smaller lots .
Just need to move this stuff along since I am not doing much pen turning anymore.

A couple of thoughts from observation only:
  • Individually will take the most time and effort. Small Lots will be less time and effort. Whole lot will be least time and effort.
  • Individually may yield the maximum for certain higher end kits, but may leave other less desirable kits unsold. Bundling into mixed lots may help get some things sold that might not otherwise move.
  • What is your reason for selling, beyond you don't do much pen turning anymore? Do you want or need the money or you just want it gone? You could always donate it to a turning organization, I believe some are registered non-profit organizations that might allow you to take it as a tax deduction for fair market value.
  • It is a very personal decision.
