I've been thinking about getting a motorcycle for over a year and with the pen turning burn out decided, it was time for something else to do with my time. This is what I came up with.

Nice bike. I use mine to keep the cares of the world away. You may find that after you have been riding for a while, that your desire to turn pens may resurface. Don't sell your tooling yet if you still have it.

If you have not done so, I highly urge you to take an MSF safety course. It definately changes your attitude and knowledge of traffic interactions.

Please be more careful on the road than you have ever been before. Down here the semi-dead people (retired from another State, usually confusion) love to run over or pull out in front of motorcycles, daytime or nighttime. Enjoy! and Good Luck!

Nice motorcycle and I too urge you to not be in a hurry to sell your turning equipment if you haven't already. A couple years from now you could have a whole different perspective again. If you still don't want to return to turning at that time, then go ahead and sell them off. This is the approach I took with my drums and PA from when I was in a band, and with my golf club (after I decided I wasn't going to improve to a point to make it worth my time).

And also, as a fellow motorcycle rider, when riding: Always assume the other guy doesn't see you!!! 95% of the time you'll be correct and save yourself a lot of close calls.

Congrats, I rode from high school up until a couple of years ago, I had a couple of herniated disc take that away from me.

As mentioned above, always assume the other driver doesn't see you.

And have fun.
