A number of years ago I met John Grden and his wife at one of the Art shows we did, The Bayou Classic Art show in downtown Houston. We had a booth there as did John's wife Mary, her with her paintings and us with our pens. John had been turning pens and he looked me up when he and Mary got the list of artist. A nicer person you could not meet. I went to her booth before the show started and admired her art, she is super talented. Long story short, they moved to California and John got out of pen making and sold his pen making supplies.
Last year when he moved back to the Houston area he posted that he would appreciate any help we as a group could do and a large number of members sent him pen making blanks, tools, kits, etc, I did also.
As a thank you Mary sent Dee and I this, it brought tears to both of us, and we're both at a loss for words. Please notice the boats name.
