Intial design is a loose 3/4" stopped dado in some UHMW. Lop off one end of the dado. Screw on some ply or other wood that has a nut expoxied into it. I have tried gluing stuff to UHMW, it doesn't work well. Screw a bolt into the nut. To use it, assemble your blank, put it in the dado and tighten the bolt down. I might also add a small scrap between the blank and the bolt to even out the pressure.

What say you? Yes clamps work just as well but that's not really the point.

I made a small square box. I took a 3/4X11/2 board and cut the sides and ends. I mitered Diane's and glued them together. I cut out a piece of cardboard for the bottom. Wait a minute let me see if I can just post a picture I haven't done before.
