Hard to believe, but the Summer Extravaganza Wood Identification Contest only has 4 entries so far.

Three prizes will be awarded based on points earned for identifying the 10 blanks, but one additional prize will be awarded by random draw of all qualifying entries that do not win one of the top prizes.

That means that you could simply list the numbers 1-10 and just write Sassafras next to all 10 numbers to have a chance to win a prize.

Of course, your odds of winning one of the top 3 prizes will be a lot better if you select one or more species names from the list given in the contest thread. :wink:

We do not yet have a perfect entry, so all prizes are still up for grabs. There is only one week left though, so get your entry in soon.

Sure - there's no requirement that you have to select wood names from the list.

However, I can pretty well guarantee that anything that is not in the list will not earn any points.

Only a few days left and so far we only have 12 entries -- give it a shot, there are some nice prizes & four people will win one. Your chance is as good as anyone else's, but you have to post an entry to get in the game.
