Could've anything else went wrong with this pen? First I cut the blank to size, mixed up some epoxy to glue in the tubes. Applied some epoxy to a tube and realized I never even drilled them. I cleaned all the epoxy off the tube and drilled the blanks. The turning went okay. When I started to press the upper barrel, the clip just fell off, snapped right in half for no apparent reason. Luckily I had a spare clip from some previous fiasco. This time when pressing in the finial, there was no resistance whatsoever. I had to glue that part in. Picked up the finished lower barrel and must have had some CA on a finger which ended up on the barrel. So that had to be completely refinished. Finally everything was assembled. Putting in the refill, I found the kit was missing the spring. So I had to rob a spring from another kit to finish this one. Now I have another kit without a spring and Exotic Blanks appear to be sold out. The pen is made from a hybrid blank, walnut burl and Alumilite Clear. Last picture is AI generated.

Sometimes it seems that nothing will go right and maybe one should just put it off for a day or so. But it looks like you recovered ok in the end. Pen looks great. 👍🏻
