I just completed this pen and wanted to show it off. I had no idea there was another Denim pen just before me.

Oh well I'll show it any way. This is made from a pair of jeans that don't fit me any more. I wanted to capture the stiching near the NIB and the tag by the clip.

Comments opinions and criticism are always welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Good looking pen Bruce.
I had been thinking about a denim pen with the red tag showing.
I am glad to see it worked out.

Are you using the CA method or are you casting in resin?

I rolled the fabric onto the tube using CA (like a snake skin). Then I casted it in a ploy resin then just turned and polished it.

You only get one tag per pair of jeans. I mite try a decal to simulate the tag. But it just wouldn't be the same but I would bet you would have a hard time noticing it was a decal. I mite try it and see.

Thanks for your comments

Hey, it looks great!

I'm wondering what the seam looks like though.
Thinking of that reminds me of an incident that happened just before a friend of mine got married. He took me out to buy a new suit, and when he was helping me take the tag off, he cut the material just inside the sleeve. Well he paid for the re-weaving and you couldn't even tell it had ever been cut.

I'm wondering if someone could do that with these? It'd take a lot of work though. Not sure it'd be worth it for the price of the pen.

Ya I already realized the copy rite thing when I showed a friend who happened to be in the sewing business.

I got it worked out though and this particular pen is not available any more.

I will make my own tag same colors and stile and put your name on it.

That should work!!![;)]
