My Maine Coon turned 20 this April. He has really come around since the passing of our Feral adopted. This last weekend he was out on his tether and I caught him in a hunting mood. The pictures depict him watching the corner of our porch turned office where Chipmunks have historically lived and as it so happens just near the tree outside my office with all the bird feeders.
So, look carefully at the pics and remember....Sshhhh, he's hunting chippies.
Oh and I didnt mention, he's deaf as a door nail.

His summer style is short crop for one reason. He is old as dirt and cannot groom himself anymore and gets so full of tangles he is painful when petted. He has a lite infant's size shirt that he wears when the temps drop a bit.

What a pretty face, such light colored eyes. You're fortunate to have had him with you for so long. We have a 15 year old that I'm about to give fluids to due to kidney failure. She is actually doing quite well with them.

He has had degenerative kidney disease diagnosis now for the last three years. When he was first diagnosed I researched and I changed him over to a raw diet so I can monitor what chemicals and supplements he gets and his last check up this last April the Vet was amazed that there has been no change in his tests over the last three years which is a very good thing.

Beautiful Maine Coon. I have a 10 year old Maine Coon. He is a deadly hunter. More like a dog than any cat we've had. Huge feet, hence his name, Mr. Paws. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Does he find the snakes in the yard? Mine used to bring at least two or three a season.

He's not to bad with snakes, but then again the dogs keep the snakes at bay. But he's hell on squirrels and small rabbits. Lately it's been been moles. He generally does his hunting at night, he likes to stay in the AC during the day.

Here he is after a long night of hunting.

He looks like an adopted cat I had some years ago that I thought was part Norwegian Forest Cat. Beautiful kitty. Thanks for sharing

My old girl is an accomplished nest robber. We have a huge elm in the back yard and she goes out at night and robs the nests, brings them in and eats them in the bathroom. I wake up to feathers everywhere.

My brother has a huge cat and he came in through the doggie door with a full grown live cottontail the other day. Then turned it loose in the house. An interesting time was had by all.
