My sons are PHD students and read a great deal. One day last week they asked me to read a chapter in one of their book ... I went to the library I'm sharing with you!
" In ancient mythology a hawk-like bird was the bird of transition. Whether from this life to the next or from one moment to the next. The hawk flying high above could see all the paths, turning points, and departure points.
To see the hawk was a good omen, for the hawk was the reminder that life and death are one. That in life there are times of separation, change, and transformation, but in the eternity of time, all the roads come together.
The hawk reminds us to live and embrace life: to meet each moment and each fork in the road with love and courage, and confidence that when we are separated it is but for a moment...
...But never forever. "
What can we take away from this so our lives can be better?
