Ok, how long should it take 15 second CA to cure when it's just out in the open in a puddle, no heat, no contact.... just...... there?

Thanks.

Several minutes in my experience. I finally bought some accelerator, and it makes things much faster for me when gluing tubes. One thing I did notice though, is that the accelerator smells worse than the CA. YMMV

At first glance, this almost sounded like one of those "How much does a pound of feathers weigh?" questions, but I know where you are coming from on this. In my experience, leaving CA in the open air to dry can take about 5-10 min. Others may have had a different duration depending on the type of CA used (thick, thin, etc.)

Ok, good.... so I'm on the right track I guess. I've got some accelerator, but I havn't quite mastered the art of having it NOT crystalize my finish when I least expect it.
