I've just spent a wee while reading through Michael's thread with regards to the smaller laser engravers and picked up some interesting info.
For the last couple of days I've been blindly looking through laser Engravers, but I'm more looking in the range of 50 - 80 Watts. Water cooled, Co2 lasers.
My reasons for needing a more powerful one, is as you know I work with anodised metal. From what I've read, 20W and upwards can burn off an anodised layer. So rather than trying to get a laser to etch metal, I can etch the anodised layer instead for adding names and no doubt some graphic designs too.
My question is to those who own one of these bigger machines. would you mind posting a link to the one you own with a brief write up on it's pro's and cons? I'm hoping to create a shortlist.
My budgets is around $2,000 for the laser. That would include the water cooler if one is required.
