Wow, 47 entries. Cant wait to see them all.
Did'nt get mine in, i stumbled today. On the lathe to be wet sanded to final demension. Oh well, cant wait to see all these fantastic creations.

*9:01 is too late.

Please do not wait until the last minute.
Unfortunately I had one entry fall into this category.:frown:

CRAP. that was probably me. I had 10 minutes to get pics taken and posted when I got home from work tonight. At least this way I won't have to undergo the suspense of waiting to see if it gets into the top ten. I guess there is always next year.

I thought the form times out so the submission cannot be accepted - or is that only if they go to the page after the time has run out, not if they are on it when it times out? Either way - I know the feeling. I had my color casting contest entry done at about 5 of midnight - took photos, went on to submit and was a minute too late :frown:

I would rather compete and lose in a competition with large amount of entries than win in one that had very few. Its not just winning, Its competing to be the best you can. It drives you to be better than your competitors and it drives your competitors to be better than you.

Many beauties in there. Looks like the year of segmenting. Nicely done all. Glad I'm not a judge who has to narrow this down.
Yes on the segmentting and I already have had numerous complaints from the judges about having to cut some awesome entries. :frown:

Is there an easier way to look at the entries besides downloading the zip file and uncompressing it? As much as I would like to see them, 47 downloads is way too many for me.

Come on people are you kidding me???? I had to go back and look at the rules again. There are some really striking pens in here that would give Advanced people a run for their money hands down. I think some of you are underestimating your abilities. Wow good luck to the judges on this one. That many entries and I think you are going to have to expand the amount in the next round for this one.

I want to say here that it is a pleasure looking at all these fine pens and yes I open every Zip file which was no short order but well worth it. Good luck to all entries and there is no and I mean no losers here. I will also say I feel very confident that this site will be just fine with the talent shown here. I am hoping it does not take a contest to draw out this kind of work and talent once a year. Each and everyone of you should be showing more of your work here in the future and no excuses. I am proud and tickled pink to see so many segmented pens and it took so called midlevel people to do them. I thought I would see more in the advanced catagory but was disappointed. More than made up for it here. Good job by all. Now all you people move up next year. Man this will be tough.

Good luck all and thanks for the ride. A pleasure to look at them. Now that is pen making.

The ones in zips are the entries with multiple photos submitted, the others only had 1 photo so it posted wierd for me. The "cut" will need some more time in the judges hands before I can post it.
Where are the entries with only one photo?
And can't we have a gallery of these pictures instead of having them only in a post?

Like JT, once I opened that first zip file late last night and saw that beautiful pen, I had to open them all! WOW!! Thanks Mike for making them easy to see! Thanks Landon for all of the teasers and keeping everyone on the edge of their seats! This contest is huge! I feel for the judges! Greg
