Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am a new woodworker/turner. I became interested after finding the turning page on reddit while bored during the pandemic. I have a harbor freight lathe and have been purchasing supplies from Amazon and the Rockler store 45 minutes away. I am an elementary teacher and have been working on houses in flint for fun (most vacant city in the states, bought my house for $5,000 and about 4 years of work. Just purchased another house for $2500.) Through the renovations I have become more and more interested in woodworking and carpentry. I am currently turning pens for my groomsman gifts.
