No Problemo Evelyn:

We all will need/could use inspiration as we... get older.

It is all good! Tell Dan his lathe is patiently waiting... it is more patient than him!!!:biggrin::smile:

BTW: HE OWES US SOME PRETTY AWESOME PENS ....... IN APRIL!

Take care!

Hi Evelyn,

I know well how a place such as IAP can help one's bad days/times, there is always some kind gestures on each and new day, he have also all the other "stuff" that is not as pleasing but, it is all part of the deal of being part of this large family so, I hope that Dan gets his "mojo" back (I'm looking for mine, too...!:frown:).

Actually, I will challenge Dan and hopefully that will give him some excitement/motivation to get better fast, send me your postal details by PM, I will put a small surprise package of blanks that I want to see Dan turn, into amazing pens however, I don't want that to become too stressful in fear to stuff-up some blanks in the process, no pressure that, I will be happy to see a couple of pens done, which blanks..??? no important, whatever the ones he decided or that come up the best, that's all I need...!

I hope this helps to keep his spirits up...!:biggrin:

Cheers
George

Evelyn,

Dan is like the modern day Paul Harvey....I look forward to what he has to share. Take advantage of this time, maybe take a trip somewhere warm! Hope he's walking around soon. Good day......

Dan is one of the people who make this place what it is. I look forward to his creations and his encouraging words. Thank you both.

Taking care of eachother is just a small part of what makes the IAP so great.

Dan is part of that greatness. And we all know that if the rolls were reversed...........
Dan would be there for us.

Hmmm I didnt know he was sane to start with, much less had any sanity left. :laugh:If you get a chance now would be a good time to whack him with a stick since he cant run. Tell him its pen withdrawal therapy and is good for him! Then whack him again. make sure you use a nice burl stick! He"s retired Navy he's used to it.

You thanks us now.

Have you started cleaning out his display room? Everything he learns and tries here will need a prominent place to be displayed. Why just last night I was encouraged to move that stupid pen junk off the counter. It had only been there 2 years(so she says). Really it's just 14 months so now I know I have until the 2 year mark to move it.

That's what you have to look forward to.

Glad you thanked us in advance:laugh:

The members of this site rock!!

This is why this site is so cool!!!:smile: People across the world caring. It is something you do not see very often. Those who can do and help others what an awesome thought. The compassion here is wonderful. I hope Dan gets to doing better and is able to take full advantage of Georges generosity. We all pay it forward best we can.

You are both in our prayers.

Evelyn, I thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them and hope I am deserving of them. I am happy that you have been there for Dan and share his good and maybe some bad. Now, tell him to hurry up and get back on that lathe.

Thank you again.

Ray

Know exactly how he feels. I had cancer 3 years ago and was on my back for 6 months. After 4 months I over did it and drove 3 hours to see the guy that taught me. Huge mistake from a "healing up" standpoint, but boy was I happy...until I got home and my wife was waiting for me...ouch! Turning anything is a ball!!

Thank you to all of you for the great responses! I was not expecting that. IAP is a great family to be in!
Have a great day!
Evelyn

:bananen_smilies022: Hi Evelyn: I am sorry to here of the rough time you both are having. I have had the hard times of not being able to do what your mind thinks you can do. I also had the good fortune of having a wife like you to watch over me and make my days better. I am glad that the members of the IAP all over the world can bring some happyness into your lives on a daily bases. God bless you and watch over you. Jim S
