Well, for a short period of time at least :rolleyes:... I have a study abroad in Merida Mexico and have to fly through Houston Intercontinental Airport. Being that there are few flights from there to Mexico, I have a few monstrous layovers

Yes, you saw correctly, from the morning of the 27th to the morning of the 28th in Houston. If anyone lives close to the airport and would like to meet up with a Florida penturner, I would love to visit! It is always fun meeting other turners and always have a good time sharing work.

Well, IC airport is over an hour drive for me. Hobby on the other hand is only about 15 minutes but as of now, there are no International flights into or out of Hobby. But that may change in a few years.
 
What a great opportunity, Marshall! I worked in Mexico for several years and love to go back. The Yucatan is fascinating with all of the historical sites to visit. Palenque in Tabasco state is one of my favorites. Just be prepared for the heat and humidity, even more so than Florida.

IAH is only about 4 hours south of me....

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen inside the International Terminal at Bush, near gate 3. Good for killing a little time. Immigration at Mexico City Airport... great for killing a lot of time....
