Turned my first blank from the PITH, courtesy of EBorraga. It's a Beaufort Tempest. First click pen I've done and first pen with different sized barrels. Was a little more difficult due to receiving an incorrect nib end bushing, but a dial caliper got me there in the end. First time for that, as well. My photos still need a lot of work, but at least I got my fingers out of them this time!

Beautiful pen. If you had to "turn on the fly" with incorrect bushings - WELL DONE! That is a skill that will serve you well in the future. Calipers are well worth their cost.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice pen and blank. Good that you "improvised" with the hiccup on parts. As Mark said, this will serve you in the future. I'm trying to work up the nerve to try Turning Between Centers without bushings.

Thanks to all for the kind words. While the turning between centers was new to me, I'm using a mini metal lathe, so I was able to sneak up on the size without too much difficulty. Was still a little nervous about messing up right at the end though!

Well, the zebra blank almost worked!! Looks good, now to adjust so the other half matches when I pour the next one!!
