I really like the color but the square shape might make it uncomfortable to wright with.

My wife's daily carry pen is very similar to what I see this becoming, only hers is in green/orange... I think I like your color combination better...

I LOVE IT! I think this is one of those blanks where you gotta take away some of the middle of the blank. You HAVE TO GET THAT ORANGE/RED END OF THE BLANK just above the nib to tie it back to the center of the blank.
If this were my blank (and it's NOT, so this is just a suggestion), I'd forego the busy centerband and perhaps use no band AT ALL. You can line up the Mount Blanc style barrels precisely, so the interest would focus on the blank.
