Shane, I went out and looked at that site. If you want to make blanks, how do you know which PR to buy that will work best? There seem to be lots of choices.

I've used the Mr. F and the Art Stuf clear casting resin.

About the same price per gallon, but the shipping from Art Stuf was less.
Of course, I'm in AZ and Mr. F is on the East Coast.

Specifically:
Art Stuf: 1 gal resin and some dye, in 1 box: $13 shipping.
Last order they were supposed to email me a total before shipping, but didn't.

Mr. F: 2 Gal resin and some fiberglass, in 3 boxes. $50-70 (don't have
the receipt handy). It took >1wk for him to ship to me.

Of course there is also that ArtStuf's website sucks and Mr. F's is slightly more usable.

but hey, you're not comparing apples to apples. More product in more boxes should cost more. I just paid mr.fiberglass $48.17 for a gallon including shipping. I'm very happy with his product and service. UPS now has a surcharge on freight such as polyester resins and larger amounts have larger surcharges. Douglas and Sturgess (artstuf.com) currently has $48.17 as the price of a gallon not including shipping. When I can I get 5 gallons from Composites One in the Dallas-Ft.Worth. It is much cheaper that way...if that much is needed. I share it with another turner here in my hometown.

anyone found a local supplier in the DC area? I've done some research but haven't come accross anything yet. If I can't find it locally, I'll likely use Mr. F, but want to look close to home first.

Agreed- which is why I listed the details. The point was
mostly that overall they're equivalent and it may depend on
which is closer to determine who's cheaper.

The issue I had was that even if you split the shipping
between the 3 packages, it was still more expensive for me
to order from Mr. F. His stuff worked fine. The fiberglass
was nicely rolled (I've seen some idiots fold it).

I'm probably on the other side of a zone line from you,
so mine's more expensive from the East Coast. I don't
think he was jacking up S&H on me, I just think it cost
him more and he passed it along.

It had to go in seperate boxes because they now won't let you
ship more than 1 gallon in a box. Thank you nanny state.
