I haven't posted in awhile I've been intentionally avoiding the lathe because of an academic project I need to finish. Turned a couple this week in celebration of a major milestone in the project.

I tried using a friction finish (wanting to do more of those) but it looked horrible on this wood so I took it off and did CA. Much better.

I like that pen !! . Thanks for showing !!

You've done a nice job with the Tambootie !!

I do have a question about that particular PSI pen kit .... with its hexagonal "section" where the fingers grip it.

Is it uncomfortable to hold ? . Does anyone have experience with actually using this style of pen for an extended period like half-an-hour or more ?

I have a vertex that I got in a pen swap (it's got the metal cap but the nib section is the same) and I use it all the time at work. It's one of my go to pens and I write extensively when I am doing a client intake. I've never noticed it to be uncomfortable.

When you say that pen of yours that you use all the time at work has a metal cap .... is it actually a rollerball ?

PSI does have a Magnetic Vertex pen kit which has a metal cap and is a rollerball. . The metal cap posts on either end.

Here is the link .... https://www.pennstateind.com/store/PKFP5000.html .... ( there are other platings available; yours may be another plating )
