The alabaster resin was a gift from Brooks. Thanks - I think it turned out pretty nice. :) So I wanted to post it.

One of my old college art profs commissioned this one from me. He only specified the size and nib.
He wanted two colors - one dark and one light - and left the rest up to me.
This is what I came up with.

c160 – Taffy | newton pens
Made from Amber Tortoise lucite and Alabaster resin.
Closed 5 1/2″ – Open 5″ – Posted 6 7/8″.

:glasses-nerdy::glasses-nerdy: Fantastic craftsmnship !! If I were to pick out a pen for a professor, this would be it. I am sure he will be doing a lot of writeing during class time. I might lean a little more to the rootbeer float side. Jim S

At first I had paired the alabaster with some grayish cracked ice looking stuff. I changed my mind as I was about to start the section...

The two materials go very well together! Happy to see that go to good use. This is one of my all time favs of yours (which will soon be outdone I'm sure!).
