Got this ad today from HValleyTools I never ordered from them but they had a sled that looks pretty well built with alot of bells and whistles and you can also get some add ons but the sled is $165 down from $199. Not a bad looking sled if you are looking for one and do not want to make your own. It is a MLCS sled that is the company that makes router bits and all

Anyone notice anything weird about the picture in the link John provided?
You got me. What is it? Maybe the miter fence setup because you are actually cutting into the miter fence if that is the way it is actually set up.

I have always made my own sleds, but I've always wondered how these really nice and expensive sleds can be mass produced to fit all saws and be square to the blade of any given saw. Do they all have a way to adjust that?

Here is the video for use and they explain all this. It definitely a different type sled than what we build and what is out there. For what you are getting it is not a bad price. Just found it interesting. This sled shown was for demo only. Not one cut was made with it thus no cut marks.

Not a bad price. I have bought a few things from MLSC, always been happy with what I got.

Ken, I noticed that too, but also, if you use the handhold as the user in the picture is doing and push the sled to far, you will lose a few fingers. Hands should always be to the side of the blade path on any sled.

I have one of these sleds because I got tired of having to rebuild cross-cut sleds once they got worn out. It works exactly like the video shows and is a nice piece of equipment. 2 problems with it though: 1) when he says it's beefy, he means heavy. It is so heavy I sometimes try to come up with a work around instead of lifting the thing up on the router table or saw; 2) because you're constantly cutting into the fence, you'll have to make a new one every once in a while. But still much easier than making a whole new sled.
