Sweetgum/Cocobolo 3 piece goblet

Another 3 piece goblet, a little on the small size. The bowl is 1 1/4", base is 1" and the spindle is 1/8" x 3 3/4", total height is 5 3/4". The wood is Sweetgum for the bowl and base, the spindle is Cocobolo, finish is Mahoney's Walnut Oil.

Since you seem to be wanting to make more of these I do like the look and it's slender profile.
I ask how steady it is with that small base? I would think the base should at least be the same diameter as the cup portion for aesthetics as well as steadiness.
