6 bags of Red Rose per gallon and 1 cup of sugar substitute. Yes drinking a gallon in a short period of time on a hot day is very easy to do!!!!!!

I like sun tea, but I'm not supposed to have sugar (much) so I brew it dark and use Stevia to sweeten it. Not great but it's still sort of like sweet tea.

Ok Ernie...I'll give up our family recipie for ya.

2 Bags of Luzianne family size tea bags.

Put them in the coffee filter holder of your standard coffee pot

Add 10-12 cups cold water & run through cycle (tea will be hot!)

Pour into your 1 gallon pitcher

Add 1 1/2cups sugar. Mix well.

Fill the pitcher with cold water &/or Ice

Sit back and enjoy!

We make our tea similar we dont use a coffee pot
1. 2 bags Luzianne tea bags in a 2 qt saucepan bring to a boil
2. After it comes to a boil then take it off the heat.
3. Let it steep for 5 min
4. Pour into gallon pitcher
5. Add 1 1/2 cups sugar mix well
6. Fill pitcher with water
7. Sit back and relax

That's how I learned to make it, but to keep from getting a saucepan dirty I switched to the coffee maker. Rinse the coffee pot with water and use that to fill the pitcher...clean and simple!

I don't waste time brewing, measuring and mixing...

I go to the store and pick up Tradewinds extra sweet. It's already brewed and in the cooler waiting. A gallon only lasts about 2 hours.

wow 2 cups of sugar for a gallon?!?!

1 cup sugar to 3 family bags of Luzianne
or
I do like Samurai Chai and Kona Pop from Teavana brewed hot and then iced with a little sugar
