Greetings from Nebraska! I know I didn't make these in the workshop, and they are not made of wood. I didn't get a very consistent shape, but I think I got a nice glossy finish on them. Tasty too - not bad for my first attempt at a yeast donut. It is more time consuming than I thought - no wonder donut shop employees have to go to work at 2:00 AM.

Yummy 😋 and yes, a real sweet finish on those...they turned out great!
We will need to christen the donut pan we bought several years ago but haven't used yet!

Now you need to try bagels. All the fun of donuts, but you have to boil them, too LOL.
Unfortunately the bagel has twice the carbs - but it does have other benefits. 😅 (I didn't check, but you may have a bagel recipe in your cookbook which is low carb!)

Those donuts look real appealing.

Sent you a PM with low carb bagel recipe. Low carb yeast donuts on page 31 in cookbook.
