Well on Weds I go into have a new valve put in my heart. It is going through the arteriers near my groin and will send a few lines up to the heart and they will look and put in a new valve in my heart.

You wanna talk about ****less...... I have done a lot of things in my time, some good some bad, some quite evil, but this one has me scared.

Never in all my trips to the hospital have I had to have a will or living will together. Lets just say its scary for me.

This supposedly is what caused my stroke and will render me as good as new. OR at least as good as my body will get for this. The Dr. has done this about 200 times before but the adult population that he does is only about 60%. Normally dont on kids that are under the age of 14. Just my luck that I am in the small part of this trouble.

Well anyway I gotta go. I will talk when I get back..

Dean, I ahve prayed that God will speak to you and that He will oversee everyone that has anything to do with your surgery & recuperation. I have also prayed that He will comfort and encourage your family as they go through this with you.
 
Dean, As you are probably under the surgeon's care now, I pray that He will guide them and that the proceedure will be successful. I pray that it will give you a long and full life. I also pray that you will give praise to God for it's success and live your life for Him.
 
The catheter route you describe is a modern medical miracle. I fractured a kidney eight years ago and it was fixed by that procedure. The doctor specialist is called an 'interventional radiologist'. Their skilled hands, guided by the prayers of all here are sure to see you through.
 
Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. I am now home and have a new valve. Ohh and a couple of holes where they put the valves and other things in me.

Needless to say it was I was very happy when I woke up in the recovery room. I can keep it slow for a few days and than its good for me.

Glad to hear everything went well! Make sure you give yourself PLENTY of time to rest. I have a tendency to overdo it too soon, and pay the price each time.

Take your time, get well once and for all, and then get back to turning! [:D]

Wow, you're home already? I pray that you will continue to improve and get stronger.

So if they went in thru the groin region, where's your heart located [?]
