I want everyone to know that while it might look from time to time like I am at odds with the IAP management - I am not.
I support the IAP, I use the IAP logo in my store and I recommend membership at least a couple of times a week when I get questions from customers.
With regard to the new rules, in his very first post Jeff asked for comments and questions - he got them.
One of the new rules got named the "smitty" rule (not by me) and that rule will have some impact on my business but (blowing my own horn here a bit) I am a pretty darn smart guy and I will continue in business and I will find a way to continue offering service and products to IAP members at a good price. I never asked that the rule be modified because I don't think an organization of 10,000 members should change things to satisfy the needs one member. Even if I happen to be that member.
That notwithstanding - I do support the new rules. I think there should be and probably will be some adjustments as time goes on.
I do support the modest fees for classified ads and understand the idea behind other rules. Those I believe will change over time because I think there are probably better ways to accomplish the purpose that will surface once we start using the new commerce area. I also think it would be premature to start trying to "fix" what we have not even tried yet.
