Great view of the glacier during my afternoon ride.

This is the meadow I normally take a break in, it's about 1/4 of the way up.

Didn't make the top today because the heavy snow bends the alders into the trail. Got my butt kicked getting a bit past the meadow, feel like I was in a boxing ring! Here is a pic from the top I took a couple of days ago. Weather stunk but you get an idea how high up the trail goes. That's not a marsh at the bottom of the hill its a full grown spruce forest the little tiny line through the trees is the road in to our place. This is a bit over 5000 feet above the river bed. It takes about 20 minutes of almost continuous climbing to reach the top on the sled.

One of the things I miss about Alaska is the scenery. It's awesome living in an area that people pay thousands of dollars to see and experience things we see and do every day. I'm glad you saw the sun today, because now you know that your son will also have seen the sun at least once in his lifetime.

Sun wasn't out but I thought you might like some pics from todays ride.

The back ground mountains are the ones in my back yard. I rode a area called hatchers pass that is a mixed snowmachine/back country skiing area with a freind toady.
