Took a break from conference calls to turn a few pens. I made the blanks as a bonus for the recent PITH and turned a few I kept. Blanks are made from Alumilite Clear Slow with Black Diamond and/or Eye Candy pigment and the kits are Liberty and Desire kits from McKenzie Penworks.

I'm curious how you like the Desire Pen Kit? It seems to have a little different feel in hand which I think has to do with the distribution of wt. and length in the two sections compared to a Junior Gent. I love the machining of the kit. Your blanks are top shelf. I don't have a favorite as each is unique and would be treasured. I'll say the green and gold would sell up here in Packer Country in a heart beat.

I like the look and feel of the Desire including the weight distribution. Feels like a good, solid writing instrument. Stainless steel just feels like quality and not like some of the cheap kits.

I lived in Minneapolis for 7 years and Chicago for 7 and according to people in those cities Packer fans wouldn't know how to use a pen. Couldn't resist, GO CHIEFS.

Not a big professional football fan, too much money to pay people for playing a game. Curmudgeon, guilty as charged.

With the Desire pen I like to use it with the top off as it seems top heavy with it on. The Junior Gent I put the top on. Personal preference I guess.
