Quite a story. This man was being shot with a gun and used his Pen to disarm his 3 attackers.

Any object can become a weapon. This is the #1 reason why bans and the like on specific objects is grossly ill fated and will never work.

Your average person has a good 12+ items on them at most all times that makes exceptional weapons.

Here in Canada the bus driver would be in jail charged with assault with a deadly weapon (the pen) and also for shooting at them with their gun while running away.

Thanks for the story. I read a few years back a woman was being attacked by a mountain lion in Montana I think but was able to poke the lion in the eye with a pen. It saved her life.
