I thought the parts storage idea sounded like a good one.

I usually wait till Harbor Freight has their medium storages trays on sale. Usually happens 3-4 times a year.

I ordered these Amazon.com: Plano Molding Company 2-3600 Prolatch Stowaway Utility Box (4-Pack): Sports & Outdoors They work really nice and have a good number of dividers for each box. I store the drill bit/bits bushings and all the part for each style pf pen I make. I'm planning on ordering a few more sets and I'm planning on building shelving system to hold them.

I also bought some plano storage boxes from amazon, but not as a set. Whatever way you decide to do it, it's a lot better than having stuff scattered all over. I usually keep the bushings with the pen kits that they go with. I bought a little labeler from Costco and I label all of my boxes. You don't have to go that far though You can just get some label sheets from Office Depot or wherever and label your plastic boxes, drawers, or whatever. I use a lot of those sterlite pull-out plastic drawers which are really practical for a small shop, IMO.
