No wood involved, but it is something else I make. The blade of this fillet knife is translucent gray obsidian, the handle is Corian. How is that for an anacronyism?
I agree, Corian and flint knapping are too strange to combine. How about this one. Manogany obsidean, Minnesota pipestone handle, and sandstone display stand. The entire project was made with primative tools; hammerstones and antler to shape the blade, sandstone as a grinding stone to shape the handle and base. (OK, not everything is abo, the blade is attached to the handle with epoxy). Except for the epoxy everything is made of and from natural materials, but the shape is anything but authentic.
