More photographic milestones behind me.
This time, pens, of course, made of ebonite and sterling silver. Various nibs – either Jowo or Bock.

Holy cow, those threads are CLEAN!

Also, I have a beginner question, if you don't mind - I am wondering if you polish the threads and if so, how do you polish them? I have recently discovered that alumilite does not make very nice feeling threads at all if you only use a tap and die. I have never tried ebonite, but I'll be ordering some soon, and also I am getting a metal lathe soon. I assume you must have a metal lathe in order to make threads that good, and acme (?) threads as well

Edit - actually I just found your Youtube video on how to make an ebonite pen! I have seen it before, but somehow I didn't connect the two! In that video you're using taps and dies though, and the threads look significantly different than they do now?
